Valenciso Rioja Blanco (Spain)

A deliciously decadent, full bodied white Rioja with intense preserved lemon and gently smoky notes with nuts, stone fruit, minerality and citrus acidity on the finish. Refined and delicious, a really impressive wine. This has texture, poise, minerality, elegance and structure – a beautifully crafted wine that will age beautifully in the bottle.

Valenciso was established in 1998 as a collaboration between ex Bodegas Palacios’ Luis Valentin and Carmen Enciso with a wealth of experience in Rioja wine production. Currently in transition to fully organic status, Valenciso has been working in an organic, and in some instances biodynamic, manner for quite some time.

A white wine that will benefit from decanting. Thanks to its wonderfully rich body, this wine can hold up to richer dishes. Serve with hake, saffron and mustard mash.
