St. Cyrgues Salamandre (France)
St. Cyrgues Salamandre (France)
This is the perfect crowd-pleasing introduction to orange wine. Aromas of orange blossom are followed by delicious flavours of ripe peach, tangerine and honeysuckle. Super summery and approachable.
The Château Saint Cyrgues estate is located at the very south of the Rhône river, just south of Nimes. Wines from this southernmost part of the Rhône valley benefit from a cooling maritime influence from the Mediterranean, helping the wines retain freshness and acidity in this warm climate.
These Grenache Blanc grapes are fermented on their skins for ten days before pressing, giving the wine an orange or amber colour and resulting in a unique flavour profile with subtle grippy tannins and complex aromas.
Pair this wine with spicy Moroccan dishes, fish dishes, or cheese.
