Savage Salt River Sauvignon Blanc (South Africa)

Grown in Stellenbosch from old bush vines and bottled in Cape Town, under the shadow of Table Mountain. 

Salt Rivers Sauvignon Blanc reminds us distinctly of a crisp, sea-spray textured Loire Valley Pouilly-Fumé. There's elderflower, yellow plums, semi-dried pineapple and a lovely pepperiness. Fermented in a combination of stainless steel, concrete eggs and old barrels to help build textural complexity without losing its signature zesty character. 

Pair this with smoked salmon, an oyster starter, or a peppery prawn pasta.
