Salzl Zweigelt Reserve (Austria)

We work closely with Salzl Winery to find the best expressions of Austrian varieties. Zweigelt is one we should all be tasting.

This Reserve (meaning oak-aged) is bright and light in the glass with a good fruity backbone. Tasting of sweet and tart mulberry and blackberry, onto fruitcake, cocoa, cinnamon, and tea leaves that developed over the course of its 12 months of oak ageing. A brilliant example of Neusiedlersee DAC wine.

Best after 30 minutes in the fridge, alongside duck or even a turkey dinner.
