Rolly Gassmann Riesling 2019 (France)

A stunningly elegant and complex Alsatian Riesling from one of our favourite wineries. This wine is truly iconic, with beautiful concentrated candied lime flavours and a complex spicy finish. It has such expressive flavours, with notes of white and yellow flowers, and a delicate toasty finish. The palate is concentrated and complex, with fresh stone fruit characters and a well-balanced acidity. 

Rolly Gassmann is one of the most exclusive and well respected wineries in Alsace, famous for their top quality wines dating back centuries; the Rolly family since 1676 and the Gassmann family since 1611. With the marriage of Marie-Thérèse Rolly and Louis Gassmann in 1967 the two estates were united and today the 45ha are run by their second son, Pierre. 

An amazing wine that stands up to highly aromatic and flavourful food, it's best enjoyed with flavoursome firm-flesh fish, white meats, grilled cheeses, and spicy dishes.
