Ratti Battaglione Barbera d'Alba (Italy)

An expressive, flavourful Barbera from the hills of La Morra, showcasing the grape at its best. Bright tomato acidity, intense aromas of dried plums, spice and a rich, persistent finish. The fruit flavours are fleshy and complex, structured with soft, supple tannins.

This versatile wine is fermented and aged in oak barrels for a minimum of 2 months, giving it a smooth and full-bodied finish. The historical “soldier” label was created by Renato Ratti to commemorate Piedmontese regiments from the eighteenth century.

Pair this with ratatouille, pizza, ragù, mushroom or truffle dishes.
