Pierre Chainier Pinot Noir (France)
Pierre Chainier Pinot Noir (France)
This light but luscious red proves that quality French Pinot doesn’t need to super pricey. This works really well with a good cheeseboard.... or some top-end cheese and onion crisps (and that doesn’t mean Quavers!)
Bright and juicy Pinot Noir bursting with crunchy berry fruit flavours. Well-balanced with a grippy, fresh finish.
Produced by Pierre Chainier Ets who own the largest vineyard holdings in Touraine. Pinot Noir grapes grown mainly on limestone soils in the cooler area to the east of Touraine bring good varietal characteristics are blended with grapes sourced from the warmer south of France to add weight and richness - making it a 'Vin de France'. Gentle oak treament gives a smooth character to the wine.
