'Neomad' Madiran (France)

This modern style of Madiran is ripe and fruity with intense aromas and flavours of blackberry, plum, liquorice and cocoa. Powerful and hearty, but with a velvety texture that is long and intense.

The name 'Neo Mad' is an reference to this wine's contemporary twist on the to the tradition of Madiran winemaking. This bottle is ripe, refined and accessible, without losing its tough edge.

Madiran is located in Gascony, in South West France. Tannat is the most important grape for this region, and this is a pure varietal example. Tannat thrives in this area, enjoying the combination of summer heat and abundance of water.

 This works well with rustic grilled meats or earthy vegetarian dishes.
