Monteforte Soave (Italy)

A properly suave Soave at a magnificent price! This is a bright, light and floral dry white from vineyards outside Verona in north east Italy. It's an aromatic wine with attractive aromas of peach, pineapple, honey, ginger, citrus fruits and hints of almond. There is some weight on the palate and a soft slightly creamy texture plus a bit of honey, stem ginger and nuts. It's all very well balanced with a zesty, citrus finish.

The Cantina di Monteforte co-op is situated in the eastern part of Soave Classico. They have 1,200 hectares in total, many in Soave Classico, where they have some of the best vineyards, and some outside of the Classico zone.

A belter of a wine that is insane value for money. Great for drinking by itself and perfect with seafood based pasta dishes.
