Monrouby Syrah/Carignan IGP Pays D'Oc (France)

This is a bit of an anomaly. How can wine at this price be this good? If I were you, I’d buy some of this quickly, before our supplier realises they’ve sold it to us too cheaply!

Syrah brings the spice and dark fruit richness, whilst Carignan adds freshness and a rustic, herbal edge. The wine is deep ruby in colour. The nose displays aromas of blackberry, red plum and a touch of spice. On the palate, the ripe blackberry flavour is  balanced by a lively acidity and well-integrated tannins.

Insanely good value and the perfect midweek wine. Pair with lasagne or spaghetti bolognese.
