Milledi Ferghettina Franciacorta Rosé (Italy)

What a beautifully presented and charming Italian sparkler! With hints of berry, fresh currant and toast on the nose, and sweeter berries balanced by a slight herbaceous savouriness on the palate. Did we mention the presentation in a stunning square based bottle? 

The Franciacorta DOCG is located in the Lombardy region in Northern Italy. It's so popular in its homeland that the Italians keep most of it for themselves, but they do let us have a little bit! The Gatti family, who produce this wine, own 120 acres in the area. This wine is produced from 100% Pinot Nero grapes - the Italian name for Pinot Noir.

This makes a beautiful gift. Delightful with shellfish, mozzarella and vine-ripened tomato salads, or dim sum.
