Rioja lover looking to branch out? Get a load of this modern Ribera made from 100% Tempranillo, just a 2 hour drive south of Rioja. Rich aromas of cherry, red berries and flowers integrated with toasty oak, liquorice and vanilla. Cocoa and coffee on the finish.

Crianza is the median oak-ageing category in the classification system of Spanish reds. It requires wines to be aged for a minimum of 2 years before release, at least 6 of which being in oak barrels. This produces wines with a good balance between fruit and oak flavours, still lively, yet refined.

The winemaker chose the site for this wine on a hot-air balloon flight! He was struck by the beauty of the vineyards along the Duero River, which provide stunning growing conditions.

Pair this wine with roasted lamb, or hard cheeses like Manchego.
