Les Pivoines Beaujolais Villages (France)
Les Pivoines Beaujolais Villages (France)
This Beaujolais Villages is soft, easy to drink, yet brightly flavoured with ripe, crushed strawberries. Juicy, light-bodied and softly perfumed on the nose, this is full of the flavours of summer fruit compote. Ripe tannins and vibrant acidity present an easy drinking wine with a soft, approachable finish. This is a perfect picnic wine!
Gamay vines grown on the slopes of the rolling Beaujolais hills, set between Burgundy and Lyon. Whole bunch Gamay is fermented using traditional carbonic maceration techniques. Vinified using carbonic maceration, a traditional technique that emphasises fruitiness, the grapes see a short maceration to preserve those vibrant flavours. The result is an easy-drinking wine with refreshing acidity and a lingering touch of floral morello cherry on the finish. Perfect for uncomplicated enjoyment.
This cheerful, fruit-forward wine will shine alongside simple charcuterie, ripe cheeses, or even a hearty salad.
