This Chinon from Nicolas Grosbois has been dubbed ‘la cuisine de ma mere’, or ‘my Mother’s kitchen’, a reference to Nicolas’s childhood nurturing a love of food. This juicy, fruity red is made entirely from hand-picked Cabernet Franc grapes from old vines in the Chinon region in the Loire Valley.
Violet leads into juicy fruit, with blackcurrant, raspberry and cherry, and just a touch of vanilla.
A juicy, fruity red that stands up very well to red meats and hearty meals, or is equally suitable to enjoy around a cheese board after dinner
