Lovely, elegant Mâcon goodness! Fresh, pure and floral with notes of pear, grapefruit and acacia. Bright acidity, subtle minerality and a beautiful, clean finish.
This family have been growing vines in southern Burgundy for seventeen generations! Today, they own one of the major estates in the region, including Château de Beauregard, which they’ve had since 1854. This wine comes partly from vineyards in Milly-Lamartine, supplemented with carefully selected plots from the best clay-limestone terroirs of the Mâconnais. The family’s generational knowledge of the Mâconnais enables them to produce this cuvée, 'Mémoire du Terroir', or Memory of the Terroir.
This wine is left for several months on fine lees, partly in 350l barrels and partly in steel vats.
Pair this with a luxurious fish pie, a crunchy coated fishcake, or dishes in buttery sauces like hollandaise or beurre blanc.
