'Italian Plastic' is a venture from the creative Aussie crew at Alpha Box & Dice, and this glistening orange is a prime example of their talent and experimentation.
This funky wine hits the spot between exotic wonder and dusty moreishness. Expect intriguing tangerine and peach flavours – and this is wonderfully dry on the finish. Bonkers but brilliant, and a firm favourite with the Cork of the North staff.
The blend is comprised of 50% Semillon, 30% Muscat, and 20% Gewurztraminer, an unlikely three that come together partially fermented on the skins to produce a wine that pours like liquid gold.
Enjoy alongside a summer salad of fresh greens and prawns, topped with mango or pomegranate seeds. Also perfect alongside a poke bowl.
