Donnafugata Sul Vulcano Mount Etna Bianco (Italy)

A tasty, unique white made from grapes grown on the slopes of Mount Etna! Expect an elegant bouquet of mineral notes, fresh citrusy aromas of citron and grapefruit and delicate notes of white flowers. Well-integrated tertiary notes of ginger and vanilla are also present. On the palate, it is enveloping, fresh, and savoury, with an elegant minerality, lovely notes of wild herb, and a persistent finish. 

The volcanic terroir of Mount Etna is beautifully reflected in this fresh, flinty wine. The wine was aged for 10 months, mostly in tank, while a small portion was aged in French oak, in second- and third-pass barriques.

The wine is made from Carricante grapes, indigenous to Sicily.

Perfect with seafood dishes, vegetarian first courses, porcini mushrooms and white meat.
