Domaine de Cambis Caudomato (France)

This is a proper sunny-style Languedoc red blend. Crunchy, concentrated and full of life. There's ripe red fruits with a whack of fresh herbs on the nose. Imagine strawberry, raspberry, and cherry parcelled up with thyme, rosemary and bay leaf.

South facing, and in rocky fields surrounded by wild herbs, Caudomato is a blend of Carignan (50%), Grenache (30%) and Syrah (20%) from old, hardy vines, bred to withstand regular furnace heat of up to 40ºC.

The local landscape leaves a legacy on the grapes with a rustic and slightly smoky finish to make it a fantastic food wine. A perfect pairing with Barbecue, Tagine, or Roast Lamb with Herbs de Provence.
