Curatolo Arini Inzolia (Italy)
Curatolo Arini Inzolia (Italy)
A superb dry Inzolia, the oldest indigenous Sicilian grape. Perfectly crisp and lightly fruity with melon, almond, and fresh fruit notes. The palate carries on with touches of citrus and tropical fruit, mingled with ripe peach flavours and a fresh, textured tingling acidity. This is an iconic wine, and will impress any dinner guest!
Inzolia is an Italian grape variety grown in both Sicily and Tuscany. While it is most famous traditionally as an ingredient in the fortified Marsala wines, it is now seen more as a crisp, dry white wine with a wonderfully nutty character. Established in 1875 by Vito Curatolo Arini, this winery is now run by the fifth generation of the Curatolo family, making it the oldest family-owned Marsala producer on the island.
The gift that keeps on giving, this wine is dangerously drinkable on its own but also pairs well with grilled fish, roasted chicken, and herby vegetable dishes.
