Château Siran 'S' Margaux (France)

There is nothing like an excellent Bordeaux - and this has it all, with a classic balance of black and red fruits, violets and spice. The 2019 vintage was excellent - complex and full-bodied - and has a structure that suggests great ageing potential. It drinks well now, but could be cellared up to 2060.

This is a Merlot dominant Bordeaux, which gives the wine a smooth, velvety texture.

Pairs brilliantly with roast beef.
