Château la Gramondie Cuvée Eva (France)

An extremely delicious and affordable bottle of Côtes de Bordeaux! This sub-region of Bordeaux is known for Merlot dominant blends, producing wines with a velvety mouthfeel and soft plum flavour.

This wine offers rich black fruit and a touch of mint on the nose. It has a robust structure, with notes of ripe dark berries and wild herbs. Its tannins are smooth and integrated, yet grippy. 

The grapes are grown on 30 hectares of vineyards in chalk and clay soils. The average age of the vines is approx. 30 years, adding to the wine's complexity.

Served well with Lancashire hot-pot or roast lamb.
