A biodynamic Bordeaux, named after the Greek goddess of agriculture.
A nose with fruity notes, like strawberry and redcurrant, accompanied by a mineral touch. Beautifully supple, this vintage is fresh, with a pure and fruity aromatic structure, as well as a suave minerality and a bright refreshing finish.
Created from 8 hectares of vines on a single plot located in the hamlet of Vertheuil, north of Pauillac. The wine is made using organic and biodynamic practises. Maceration takes place over the course of 24 days, with ageing in concrete vats for 6 months which further helps to enhance the pure, fresh and modern style of the wine. It is notable as the the first ever wine with no added sulphites to be launched from a cru classé.
ogether with her husband Gonzague Lurton they run a number of prestigious Bordeaux châteaux and following their philosophy of respecting the land and creating a heritage of sustainably worked vineyards - they now cultivate the largest certified area of biodynamic vineyards in Bordeaux.
Ceres de Haut-Bages pairs beautifully with a variety of dishes, from classic Bordeaux fare such as roast lamb and beef tenderloin to rich, creamy cheeses.
