Ca dei Frati Lugana (Italy)

This is a Cork staff cult classic. A luxurious Lugana from vineyards surrounding Lake Garda - what more could you wish for?

An aromatic wine with pear, peach and apple flavours, this is fresh, rounded and rich. Balanced with minerality, there is also a slight herbal element to this wine, and a hint of almond.

Lugana is made from the Turbiana grape, a local variation of Verdicchio. It produces complex white wines with great ageing potential. The Ca dei Frati community can be traced as far back as 1782, however their wine label was established later in 1939.

Pair this with a creamy white fish risotto or antipasti.
