An extremely drinkable Syrah from the Northern Rhône Valley. Slightly lighter than many Syrahs, this wine is driven by juicy red fruit flavours, balanced with hints of baking spice. Notes of violet, and a crack of black pepper on the finish. Increasingly savoury and meaty as it opens up. Easygoing and mellow, and medium bodied with soft, melty tannins. Lush.

If you're a fan of Rhône reds, Saint-Joseph is an essential region to try, being the largest in the Northern Rhône. It's famous for Syrah-based reds and Marsanne/Roussanne whites from steep, granite slopes. The appellation is situated between other notable areas like Condrieu to the north, Hermitage to the south, and Cornas, covering a significant portion of the region's western side.

The Brotte family have been producing wine in the Rhône Valley since 1931.

Aged in old oak vats for 6-12 months.

Pair this with boeuf bourguignon, wild boar pâté or a prosciutto salad for a lighter option.

Vintages may vary. Please contact us if you are looking for a specific vintage.
