Alpha Box and Dice 'Enigma' Barbera (Australia)
Alpha Box and Dice 'Enigma' Barbera (Australia)
Alpha Box and Dice's 'Enigma' Barbera is a developed and rich expression of the grape from Adelaide Hills, Australia. The nose reveals wild berries, rhubarb and custard and forest floor, while the palate oozes with strawberries and cream mixed with pink lemonade! A rewarding wine with a delicious, lingering aftertaste. Mouthwatering and zingy acidity provides a taught backbone, fleshed out with juicy berry fruits and a savoury yet spicy undertone.
This wine is matured in barrique for 20 months. It is ready to drink now, but could also be cellared for up to 15 years!
Alpha Box & Dice was formed in 2008 around a project to construct a different wine style to represent every letter of the alphabet. Each member of the ‘Alphabet of Wine’ has its own unique personality that fulfils a different purpose, all linked by a commitment to minimal intervention and vegan-friendly methods. These are wines that truly have the capacity to inspire, delight and surprise!
Pair this wine with margherita pizza or a caprese salad.
