Alpha Box and Dice Blood of Jupiter Sangiovese (Australia)

This is a special occasion sort of wine! Crowd-pleasing and impressive, this is sure to liven up any dinner party. Expect notes of morello cherries, cocoa-dusted chocolate truffles, and a hint of blood orange. Juicy and bright, and opens up like a dream. 

These Sangiovese grapes are from a single vineyard, are hand-picked in the morning, and destemmed as whole berries. The juice is then fermented with wild yeast for 3 weeks on skins.  The wine is then pressed into barrels of 20% new French oak and 80% seasoned, for 24 months. 

Sangiovese grapes can produce fresh, medium-bodied wines, but this is a much more complex, rich example that is ageable for up to fifteen years. ABD advises this wine is 'full of good humour. So quench your thirst and mood, drink from Jupiter's cup.'
