We LOVE Lugana! This style of white is rich, complex and rewarding. This Lugana from Allegrini has notes of white peach, white flower and hazelnut. It has a supple texture and mouth-watering acidity.
Allegrini is most famous for producing amazing Valpolicella reds. The family has been making wine since the 1960s in Northern Italy, and tend to the famous 'La Grola' vineyard, the first in Valpolicella Classico to be planted with mostly Corvina grapes.
Lugana is made from the Turbiana grape. This Lugana was aged in stainless steel vats for four months on the lees and then in bottle for a further two months prior to release.
Pair this with sushi, vegetable couscous or light pasta dishes.
