Forget Cloudy Bay, forget Pouilly-Fumé and Sancerre! This Horgelus Sauvignon/Gros Manseng blend costs almost half the price and delivers as much if not more. This is a bottle filled to the brim with joyfulness and energy. The citrus aromas are so captivating, with hints of fresh grass and nettles alongside a stream, and the palate is sprightly, but also complete. The Sauvignon Blanc element brings a classic nettle and elderflower zip, while the Gros Manseng gives a gorgeous tropical fruit depth. Endlessly drinkable.

Located in the pretty Gascon village of Montréal du Gers in the foothills of the Pyrenées, on the pilgrimage route of Santiago de Compostela. Winemaker Yoan Le Menn can hardly put a foot wrong, and his wines never fail to delight.

It's amazing with prawns, or any shellfish for that matter. Alternatively, crack a bottle with friends and drink on its own- you won't regret it!
